4th Day in Singapore

April 24, 2018

We woke up today and headed to Chinatown to renew our MRT passes. We also went to this delicious place called Breadtalk for breakfast. They have such delicious baked goods. We also looked around the mall and found some dessert places with cute cupcakes and this weird mochi treat I tried.

We then headed to Orchard Park. A street with tons of shopping. It had every kind of shopping you could imagine! It had a $2 Japanese store and then big brand names like Louis Vuitton and Dolce and Gabbana. We walked and walked and walked through all the malls. Eventually we got to the Far East Plaza which had reasonably priced items. We looked at this electronic store and found a really good deal on a wireless fast charger and battery pack. Usually you'd pay upwards of $50 USD to get a good wireless fast charger and $50 to get a battery pack, but our two items came to ≈$45 USD. We also saw lots of crazy camera stores, tailors and other unique shops with lots of bartering going on.

After doing our shopping, we went  to find food. Hunter found a fish and chips place called fish and chicks (because it was egg battered) that had really good reviews, so we decided to go to it. We had something called the best of both worlds which had one side of fish and chips with a traditional English preparation and the other with a Singaporean twist with a spicy chili sauce. It was delicious!

After dinner we took the MRT back home. The MRT has hilarious ads encouraging good behavior in it with characters like “stand up Stacy” and “bag down Benny”. I love them. We walked back to our apartment did some laundry and relaxed before falling asleep.
