Around the World

April 26, 2018

The day that lasted 38 hours - the longest day I've lived!

Today began on a plane to Germany. The ride lasted 12.5 hours, which is quite long for an economy seat, however, I've been so lucky and spoiled with first class on long haul flights (thank you Hunter). The flight was a little longer than normal as we had to go around the conflict in Syria. I was realizing just as little as two years ago I was dying to be on any plane in any seat to any location, just so I could see some more of the world and now look how far I have gone. It's pretty amazing! In less than a year I've flown more than I have my entire life and have gone to two new continents. Now I have even flown around the Northern Hemisphere! It's so crazy and I'm so lucky to be given the opportunity to take these awesome trips! Thank you, everyone, who's supported me in all my endeavors!

The Lufthansa flight had a camera so you could see the outside. It was incredibly cool!

We landed in Frankfurt April 26th at 6:30 am local time. Next, we headed to our connecting gate for a 10am departure. While I'd love to say I went to 3 new countries this trip, I didn't officially enter Germany even though we were briefly on their soil, so I can't officially count it. But I will say I've been in transit through it and it doesn't change the fact we just flew around the world! Our plane ride to Philly from FRA was about 7 hours and we got in Americans new premium economy seats. It was a nice experience, however, the crew was a little weird this trip. A bunch of weird things happened like a girl fighting to get a premium seat and people being issued SSSS tickets (extra security). Overall the flight went well and the meals were nice and the seats were huge and super comfy. Hunter and I watched two movies and slept some. We were very happy when we finally landed on US soil!

So this brings my trip to a close! Thanks for reading all my stories and I hope you enjoyed all the photos! I'll probably write more over the summer and share photos if we take any trips or have any exciting weeks! Make sure to keep in touch and check my instragram account for new photos too!
