Mangrove Kayaking

Hunter and I woke up to a beautiful bright morning around 8am with barely a cloud in the sky. The views from our room were amazing and we just can't get enough of it. When we were outside I noticed many different bugs hanging around such as a fat land slug, a normal slug, and a centipede!

We went to breakfast around 9am. Breakfast was the delicious usual and Hunter had a yummy waffle with mango. I got the Naka egg again.

After breakfast, we returned to our room and decided to go swimming until it was time for the afternoon activity we had planned! The pool is always the right temperature and so refreshing, we could have lived in it.

Around 11:30 we got out and got ready to go on our kayaking adventure in the mangrove forest that is right around the tip of the island. This was the optimal time to go because it was high tide so we could go quite far into the forest. The resort has free kayaks for use so we took full advantage! We put on some sunscreen and headed to the beach where they had additional sunscreen I applied since I burn soo easily. on our way to the mangroves we encountered some jumping fish as well as some snails and crabs! It was quite hot on the way to the mangroves but once we were under the trees it was quite lovely! We made it in pretty far before we had to turn around and make our way back to the beach we started from.

Once we were done kayaking we returned to our villa where we lounged poolside till we got hungry. We decided to eat a little earlier today so we could enjoy sunset golden hour from the villa. For dinner, we went to the My Grill seating area but ordered from the Rum Chapel and Tonsai menus. I had the burger with fries, chips, salsa, and sour cream and Hunter had the pineapple rice and fish cakes. We shared the food items we ordered and it was all pretty tasty!

After dinner, we went back to the villa just in time for golden hour and sunset! We jumped in the pool and watched as the sky turned black. The flying foxes came out again which Hunter loved watching. We enjoyed the pool a bit longer before turning in for the night.
