After our amazing and filling breakfast which we spent 1.5 hours at, we decided to go for a walk around the grounds. We found the main pool with the cute children's section and a slide I totally wanted to go down. One of the pool boys welcomed us and then told us to enjoy our honeymoon which Hunter and I found funny. We could have endless honeymoons and the Marriott properties would be none the wiser! We continued down some beautiful green paths and popped out looking at the ocean. We walked along a path and then found a beautiful "secrete spot" with rope swings that were very picturesque. Hunter and I each took a turn swinging. The weather was very windy and a bit misty, but it actually felt really nice and we embraced it. We both needed to use a bathroom from everything we drank at breakfast and we found one near the pool that was absolutely beautiful. So far we are amazed by how nice everything is and the lack of people outside, although that might just be because the weather is not perfect.

After our bathroom break, we decided to make our way back to our room. Along the way we spotted a big millipede that I almost stepped on. I was initially frightened but then intrigued by it. It moved so smoothly. We continued on our walk while being careful where we stepped. We ended up in the south gardens and were just mesmerized by the sounds and beauty of the area. We finally reached our room from the backside. There were still some more paths, so we explored further and found the south pools. There were two different types of snack shacks, one at the back of the pools and then one in the pool! If the weather got better this pool would have a beautiful sunset so I hope we get a clear sky one of these days.

When we got back to our room housekeeping had just finished and we were welcomed back by a towel elephant! It was so cute. I also took pictures of the room since I forgot when we first entered late last night, so here is the room tour!

Once we were back we relaxed a bit and then made a plan to go to the shops about 5 minutes from our hotel to get some bug spray, bug bite cream, soda, and snacks. There was a pharmacy and 7-11 at the shops which would most likely have everything we needed.
We started walking to the shops when a Marriott employee in a golf cart offered us a ride which we gladly accepted! Apparently, they shuttle people to and from the shopping center all day, which we initially didn't know about. We did our shopping and then walked back to the hotel via a path from the north side of the resort. There was a large pond with a Buddha statue and offerings and then we were back to the open-air hotel halls. As we were walking trying to find our way back to the room, we stumbled across a turtle shelter. Hunter and I were intrigued so we followed the signs. In a fenced-off area of the resort, there was a pool with saved disabled sea turtles! This was pretty amazing and we couldn't believe no one specifically told us about this spot. They had 3 turtles. One was missing an eye, one was a dwarf, and another had deformed flippers. It was nice to see them helping turtles. And they were all happily swimming around their tank.

We continued on to our room where we ate a snack and just lounged around. We went swimming, ate the snacks that we had bought at 7-11, and planned our dinner. Unfortunately, the place we wanted to eat at was closed so we went to the Andaman Grill which is a fancy steak and seafood restaurant here. We made reservations for 6:30!
Hunter and I got the signature tasting menu which was amazing! It was a 5-course meal filled with amazing smells and tastes. For the first 3 courses, we had the restaurant to ourselves which made it feel like we were having a private dining experience! The staff we had waiting on us, Cat, Nonny, and Fah, were lovely and described every dish before we ate it. They made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy dinner.

Slow-cooked beef short rib
Mango & passion fruit Pavlova
While eating unfortunately Hunter was attacked by ants crawling out of our table, which at an outdoor restaurant is bound to happen. We tried bringing it to the attention of the staff so maybe we could move or they had some spray, but they didn't understand what we were trying to say. Thankfully, they weren't bad ants just annoying and Hunter killed them with his napkin. When we were done and ready for our check, we were given the bill but the amount was wrong. When we tried telling them the receipt needed adjusting, they didn't understand and eventually had to get their food and beverage manager to come. He was nice and helped us get it sorted out. Apparently, there was a big Asian Pacific Hotel change in the last week that has caused some big issues with many guest bills and such. Marriott did not give them a lot of warning about the change and they had no time to prepare. It sounded like they had been dealing with many angry people these last few days due to the changes.
After dinner, we went for a walk to the live music at the lobby bar. We only stayed for a few minutes as we were pretty tired and wanted to go for a quick swim at our pool before showering and sleeping.
